The Spanish Navy chose Indra/C2SAT antennas for their Buque Action Maritima (BAM) ships. The BAM ships are modern offshore patrol vessels. ASTG has delivered the stabilization system which is integrated with Indra’s own developed X-band system for high performance and redundancy. The BAM vessels are 94 meter in length, 2575 t in displacement and are modern high performance ships with mission versatility and high commonality with other ships operated by the Spanish Navy.
Dual band X/Ka project
A dual band project was started together with Indra in 2013 to jointly develop a dual band simultaneous X/Ka system for Naval customers. The first unit was supplied and installed in 2015 and is now in tactical operational. The dual band system is currently rolled out on Frigates and other important vessels of the Spanish Navy. ASTG supplies the stabilizer software and all the control electronics, while Indra supplies the stabilizer, antenna and radome.
ASTG has supplied stabilized VSAT systems to several Navy and Government projects. Information about these projects might be possible to reveal upon request and approval in each case by our partners/customers.
